Al-Haj FAW Motors to launch Bestune's High-tech and Affordable T77 Crossover SUV in Pakistan

The advancements in the automotive industry have put all of the worlds in awe as these advancements continue to progress, the world witnesses new features and models of cars every day.


Pakistan's automotive industry has also traveled a long distance of extreme hardships but has now become stable in business.

Pakistan's government is keen to invest in the automobile sector. It is making policies to bring foreign investments to the country so that the automobile industry's immense potential could be entertained.


Not so long ago, only some brands were renowned in the Pakistani automobile market, which made the options to choose from quite a few. But during the last decade, many foreign brands have found their way into the market and have been quite famous within a short period.


Looking at the increasing trend of new automobiles in mind and to meet the needs of a high-demanding market in mind. Al-haj FAW motors have decided to bring in a high-tech player into the market.

Al-Haj FAW motors plan to bring in Bestune's affordable SUV crossover variants in Pakistan. Bestune, previously known as "Besturn" is an automotive brand owned by FAW Group, primarily focusing on the product base of Mazda Sedans.


It is essential to keep in mind that the T77 SUV is the product of an alliance between Bestune and the world-renowned Chinese multinational electronics company Xiaomi. Thus, making it clear that SUV would be sold under the name of the Redmi brand and could be customized in many formats. The SUV operating system is MIUI, which makes it compatible to connect with millions of devices that fall in the IoT database of Xiaomi.


The SUV


The FAW-Xiaomi collaboration revealed the first look of the T77 at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2018. Since then, it has been a success in the Chinese market.

Xiao AI is integrated with the T77, enabling it with a virtual assistant like Siri or Alexa. But unlike Alexa or Siri, Xiaomi has provided a holographic assistant sitting on top of the dashboard.


Power of the Engine


The T77 SUV comes equipped with 1.2 liters turbocharged inline 4-cylinder petrol engine that can generate a power output of up to 141 horsepower and 204 Newton/meter of torque, with the option of 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed automatic gearbox.

The Dazzling Design


The T77 enjoys a muscular and bulky look from the front. The grille has a raindrop pattern and chromic strip that enhances this fantastic beast's beauty, along with a pair of headlamps installed.


The rear is beautifully designed with a dual-tone bumper and dynamic creases that elegantly complements the fog and reversing lamps.


Under the Hood


The interior of the T77 gives you the feel of a Mercedes Benz. The extravagant design of the SUV enriches it with a multi-functional flat-bottomed steering wheel. A single-screen infotainment panel has been installed to keep all the features accessible from the same place.


Xiao AI virtual holographic assistant is voice-command activated and can carry out the drivers' functions like setting up the multimedia system, close and open the hatch of the sunroof or climate control, etc.

Other than that, the holographic virtual assistant posses 43 different skill sets, all mentioned on the top of the screen. The user can choose from 3 different characters and customize them from the five costumes option offered.
