UBL recently signed an agreement with Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited in order to offer exclusive benefits to customers. In this deal, UBL Good Citizen Account holders can avail a discounted interest rate of 9.75% if they opt for a car loan for a Honda vehicle.

All customers will also be able to avail other attractive privileges such as discounts and waivers on insurance rates and registration fees, reduced loan processing fee and priority delivery, among other benefits. However, as a precondition to availing the offer, the account holders must maintain an average balance of Rs. 500,000 or above in their accounts.

The signing of the agreement was done in an online session by Zia Ijaz, Group Executive Branch Banking & International UBL and Hironobu Yoshimura, President & CEO Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited.

During the signing, Hironobu Yoshimura said that “This alliance combines UBL’s financial prowess with the state of the art products being offered by Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited. This enhanced offering will provide exciting deals and financial flexibility to customers throughout the country, on all our cars”.

Right now, as per their own official website, Honda is offering 5 different cars in Pakistan, namely, City, BR-V, Civic, CR-V and the Accord. The base City 1.3 with a manual gearbox starts at PKR 2,389,000/- without options, which is the lowest price tag that you can get at Honda.

The car industry has observed a drastic increase in the prices of cars over the past few years. The auto industry continues butting heads with the government to get benefits to themselves, yet, arguably, the customers often get lost in the shuffle. Still, the companies continue to thrive, even in the current market situation. Whether or not the situation would get better from here, still remains a question mark.
