They come in tin-lead 10 x 14mm BGA packages 2.5mm high and operate over –55 to +120°C (see table below for other package and temperature options).
Input range is 14 – 42V, and the outputs are:
PI3323-00-BGMP 2.2 – 4.0V (3.3V nominal) at 22A
PI3325-00-BGMP 4.0 – 6.5V (5.0V nominal) at 20A
Topology is ZVS (zero-voltage switching) and efficiency is up to 96%. Automatic pulse-skipping is available to improve efficiency at light loads. Multiple devices can be paralleled to increase output current.
Although described as SiPs – system-in-packages – to operate, these devices still require an external inductor, three capacitors and two resistors.Features include: fast and slow current limits, a differential amplifier for remote output voltage sensing, adjustable soft-start and output tracking – the latter pin can also be used to extend soft-start time.Protections include: over-voltage lock-out, under-voltage lock-out, output over-voltage and over-temperature.Applications are expected as point-of-load converters in computing, communications, industrial and automotive equipment.
